CAT (Common Admission Test) is conducted by IIMs (Indian Institute of management) for admission to postgraduate programs and colleagues Post (PG). Aspiring to get admission in management institutes in India should appear for Common Admission test Apart from IIM, several other management institutes use the CAT score for short listing candidates. CAT is done once a year, usually in the month of October-November.
The most important changes for CAT 2015 is an improvement of the past five years are as follows;
CAT 2015 will be held in two days, which generally consists of four sessions
The examination will be held in 99 cities including 354 test sites
Candidates will be given the option to select three test cities in order of preference and therefore no need to rush slots and blog sites in the days of initial enrollment
To the extent possible, applicants will first favorite city through four sessions at random, if not possible then the second third favorite city be granted
The exams will be held on 16.11.2015 (Sunday) and 22.11.2015 (Saturday).
Candidates have no option to select the dates. The dates allocated for CAT 2015 Centre random basis
The purchase of vouchers has been offline since discontinued this year and candidates have to pay fee through online mode only by credit card, debit card or Net Banking.
After submitting the application, candidates will be allowed to download their admit cards 10.16.2015 December onwards to the exam date. For example, if the candidate is appearing for the test 11.16.2015, then he can download the admit card only upto 16/11/2015 (forenoon or afternoon session) according to their slot.
Duration of the exam has increased to 170 minutes from the existing limit of 140 minutes.
Questions in each section, capacity & quantitative interpretation, logical reasoning ability & Verbal increased to 50 in each section of the existing 30 questions.
Candidates have the flexibility to devote more or less time on each section according to their ability and can change from one section to another section for the duration of the test.
Tutorial to understand the format of the exam will not be available before beginning the test. Applicants are advised to take classes from the website in advance.

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of candidates belonging to scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) (can also be referred category as people with disabilities (PWD))], issued by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared considered as a central or state university under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, government of India.
The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in level flight calculated on the practice followed by the university / institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. If the candidates are awarded grades / CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades / CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the university / institution from where he obtained his degree. If the university / institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence established by CGPA want to be the candidate for the maximum possible CGPA divide and multiply the result by 100.
