1. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Records
UPSC has a competitive examination in the national security Academy (NDA) / Naval Academy (10 + 2), while the defense services examination (CdSe), two times a year. A common defense service examination (CdSe):
Graduates in any discipline are eligible to show in the context of combined defense services. The degree should be recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Winners join the Naval Academy, Naval Orientation Course (NOC).

2. not UPSC entries
UPSC entries are not permanent Commission (PC) and a short Services Commission (SSC). Short Service Commission duration is 10 years, with the possibility of up to 14 years. There is no written examination at-UPSC entries. In this case, applications are short listed and invited to an integrated headquarters of the Ministry of Defence (Navy) [IHQ MoD (Navy)] on the basis of signs affixed education exams shares equivalent to 10 + 2, graduate or doctoral student.
