Kerala Institute of Cooperative Management (KICMA) is a professional institution, which creates a State Co-operative Union to finance the basics on Neyyardam, approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and associated with the University of Kerala Trivandrum.
Located on the picturesque site of the dam on Neyyardam, on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram, KICMA offers two-year full-time MBA program. Installations, State Cooperative Union (SCU), which is a statutory body established by the State Government in accordance with the position of the Kerala Co-operative Society Act 1969.
SCU, in addition to its key role as regulator of the cooperative movement in the state, is an institution of education, holding a diploma and postgraduate diploma in Co post activities right from its inception. Union provides course content and curriculum and examinations. Cooperative learning is distributed through 12 colleges and 10 cooperative training centers and cooperative education through cooperative learning trainers entire state. Cooperative Union plays an important role in strengthening and infusing professionalism in the co-operative movement in Kerala. KICMA-first attempt by the Union to establish an institute of management in the cooperative sector.
Spread over 12 acres of land donated by the Government of Kerala, KICMA ideally located close to Neyyardam, a famous tourist center about 30 km from the city of Trivandrum in Kerala, South India. In a submission to provide qualified professionals in the field of government and the private sector KICMA was designed to impart knowledge and skills, consultation and research in the field of management and cooperation. KICMA also aims to foster a sense of community, encouraging creative thinking and an innate intuition that will lead to a passion for excellence.
